It is our district policy though, that you can not do more than 65 mph. Here in Colorado, you are allowed to do 75 mph speed limit on the highway. Road speeds are also often determined from state to state, district to district, etc. It is often a changeable parameter if you have the correct engine diagnostics program (ServiceMaxx, Cummins Insite, CAT ET, etc). Usually speed is a parameter that is set into the engine's computer. Im trying to mod a school bus in a driving simulator, its a saf t liner hdx but it tops out at around 55, I think it can go way faster? Also are there any types/makes of school buses that can go faster or slower than others? Are type a/b/c/d school buses faster? brands like international/amtran, thomas, blue bird etc? also are newer school buses/engines capable of higher speeds, like a amtran with t444e vs a international with dt446e?
